Earth Hour - March 23, 2013 8:30pm

Earth Hour began in 2007 in an effort to be the "single, largest, symbolic mass participation event in the world.  Born out of a hope that we could mobilize
people to take action on
climate change, Earth Hour now inspires a global community of millions of people in 7,001 cities and towns across 152 countries and territories to switch lights off for an hour as a massive show of concern for the environment."

2013 Earth Hour will be March 23, 8:30pm.

Lisa Custer

Lisa has always believed in reduce, reuse, recycle. When her son was born, she began looking for ways to raise him with these same principals. The idea of reducing our impact led her to seek out sustainably grown and harvested food and support farmers who shared this philosophy. Reusing came in the form of cloth diapering, buying pre-owned toys from consignment stores and upcycling items that she already had. Recycling naturally fits in to their lifestyle whether it's curbside pickup or taking items to the local recycling center.

When Lisa began finding more and more local eco-friendly companies, she decided to list them online and use social media to spread the word about them. This led to Going Green Tampa being established in April of 2010. Lisa has since become a Certified Health Coach for Beyond Organic and enjoys teaching others about real food and healthy living.
