Going Green Tampa

The other day I came home and found the 2012 Superpages phone book at my door step. My first thought, “ugghhh, another thing to recycle.” So I did the same as always, picked it up pulled it out of the bag, threw it in my recycling bin and saved the bag to reuse. After making a post on the Going Green Tampa Facebook page about it, a friend let me know that there is an opt-out for phone directories! I had no idea! I have since registered and will have to wait until next year to see if they in-fact skip my house on their delivery run. After closer inspection of the bag, I noticed it says, “To order directories or to stop delivery of this directory, call 1-800-888-8448.”

I encourage you to take advantage of these opt-out options if you are like me and have not used a phone book in years!
